For
Under 5, 6, 7 and 8, Kellyville Kolts play an in-house competition called Roo-ball. Roo-ball is a game played by junior boys and girls on a
quarter sized field, with 5 players on each team. The
rules
are very relaxed, emphasis being on player development. Coaches are allowed on
the field with players to encourage players and assist with on field coaching.
Depending on number of players registered, Kellyville will compile a draw,
normally around 10 teams per age group, with each team playing the other teams
on a rotational basis. A season would normally comprise of around 14-16 games.
There are no tables kept to reduce competitiveness but the results are published
in the weekly newsletter for parents and players to see how the teams are doing.
All Under 5, 6, 7 and 8 games are usually played on a Saturday morning at Bernie
Mullane Sports Complex, with 1st game kick-off at 8:15am.
