Perpetual Trophies

Our perpetual trophies are awarded each season based on nominations from club members. Nominations need to be in prior to the First Monday in August.

Most Promising Junior Player

Players must be playing in U12-U18 competitions and should be outstanding players with great potential. Typically the player winning this trophy would come from the team in the top grade within an age group but exceptional players in lower divisions that should be in the top grade will also be considered.

Most Promising SSF Player

Players must be playing in U5-U11 competitions and should be outstanding players both within the team but also when compared against their opponents.

Most Promising Goal Keeper

Players must be playing in U12+ competitions and should be outstanding goal keepers with great potential that play in goals at least 50% of the time and ideally full time. Typically the player winning this trophy would come from the team in the top grade within an age group but exceptional players in lower divisions that should be in the top grade will also be considered.

Player of the Year

This trophy is open to all age groups but will generally come from Players in U12+ competitions. Typically the player winning this trophy will have had an outstanding season. Players nominated for the most promising categories above are automatically considered for this award.

Stan Hope Shield Fair Play Award

This trophy is open to all age groups but will generally come from Players in U12+ competitions. Typically the player winning this trophy will have demonstrated fair play by being even tempered, supporting their team mates and generally contributing to an excellent team dynamic.

Stan Pritchard Team Encouragement Award

This award is given to a team who may not have won a lot of games but who has persisted with good humour throughout the season.

Julie Jamieson Most Valuable Senior Player

Players must be playing in U21+ competitions. Typically the player winning this trophy would also have contributed to the club beyond playing in a senior team through serving on the committee, training junior teams in this or prior seasons or generally contributing to the club operations.

James Palmer Best & Fairest

Players must be playing in the U14 or U14G competitions to be eligible for this trophy. Nominees should be players who demonstrate strong skills and a strong sense of fair play at all times.

Coach of the Year

This award is open to coaches of any team. A coach does not need to take their team to the finals or win the championship to win this trophy but they should have had a significant impact on their team and demonstrably improved the team during the season.

Julia Jamieson Memorial Trophy - Most Valued Senior Player

This is awarded to a senior player who has not only contributed as a player but also contributed to the club by one or more of the following:

  • Served on the club committee
  • Coached or Managed teams
  • Assisted with club events
  • Refereed
